Privacy notice

StockTuner is a stock-research screener operated by Subham. This notice covers the StockTuner website, landing page, Google sign-in, web and voice searches, connected MCP access, and Telegram bot features. It explains the information processed to provide those features and the choices available to you.

Google account information

When you choose Google sign-in, we request basic identity information using the OpenID, email, and profile scopes. We store your Google account identifier (sub), name, email address, an internal account ID, and account creation time. We use these to identify your account, show your name, manage access, and associate your search allowance with you. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or contacts.

We do not sell Google user data. Google sign-in credentials and tokens are used to complete and verify sign-in; they are not included in requests to the AI provider that interprets searches.

Cookies and abuse prevention

We use Secure, HttpOnly cookies for your signed-in session, the short-lived sign-in flow, and a signed browser/device identifier. The session cookie lasts up to seven days, the sign-in-flow cookie up to ten minutes, and the device cookie up to one year, subject to your browser settings. The device identifier identifies a browser cookie, not your hardware MAC address.

We process network information such as your IP address to limit abusive sign-in activity. Account-creation and rate-limit records use keyed hashes of network or device signals. These signals help enforce limits but do not reliably identify a unique person or physical device. We also store session-token hashes, CSRF values, and expiry information needed to authenticate requests.

Searches and connected tools

Your search text and relevant search context may be sent to the configured AI provider to interpret your request, suggest filters, or generate stock explanations. The current implementation uses Cerebras for AI requests. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in a search. Google sign-in tokens are not sent with these search requests. Search plans and results may be cached to support results, pagination, and export. Input is processed as you type when live filtering is active, not only when you submit a form.

We store daily usage counts using India Standard Time (IST), search ownership identifiers, and request or reservation records to enforce the shared web/MCP allowance and protect access to cached searches. When you connect an MCP client, we also store client registration details and hashed authorization or access-token records, with associated account, scope/resource, and expiry information.

Stock data, results, and exports

StockTuner processes company names, exchange identifiers, financial ratios, prices, and technical or index-membership information to screen listed stocks. This market/company information is distinct from your account information. Your chosen filters, stock-insight requests, and result selections can reveal your research interests. Exports are generated for your use; downloaded copies and information you share with other services are outside StockTuner's control.

Optional voice search

Voice search requests microphone permission from your browser when you activate it. Audio is streamed to AssemblyAI for transcription using a short-lived access token issued by the server. The resulting transcript populates the search field and can be processed by the same live-search and AI workflow as typed text. Stop voice capture or revoke microphone permission in your browser when you do not want it used.

Do not include confidential information in your audio. This notice does not promise that the transcription provider retains no data; its handling of audio and transcripts is also governed by its applicable service terms and privacy practices.

Telegram bot and watchlists

If you message the Telegram bot, we receive information Telegram supplies, including your Telegram user ID, chat ID, username, name where available, message or command content, and update identifiers. We use this to answer requests, maintain conversation state, deliver messages, prevent duplicate processing, and manage access or abuse.

Saved watchlists include a name, your query and interpreted plan, requested result count, schedule, enabled status, and delivery timestamps or errors. The service also stores Telegram activity timestamps, separate Telegram usage and watchlist allowances, and administrative status such as bans and associated reasons. Relevant message content and conversation context may be processed by the configured AI provider. Search results, watchlist updates, and service or administrator messages are delivered through Telegram.

Telegram is a separate service with its own privacy practices. Stopping messages or disabling a watchlist is not the same as deleting previously stored account or conversation data. Contact us for deletion requests.

Hosting, operational records, and service providers

Google provides sign-in; Cerebras processes AI requests; AssemblyAI provides optional voice transcription; and Telegram carries bot messages. Connected MCP clients receive responses to the requests you authorize. StockTuner's hosting and delivery infrastructure includes Oracle Cloud and Cloudflare, which may process network and request metadata as part of hosting, routing, HTTPS delivery, and security.

The application and its infrastructure may keep operational records such as request times, network addresses, requested paths, response or error information, refresh-job status, and security events. Data stores and backups support operation and recovery. Do not put secrets in URLs or queries. Authorized administrators can access records needed to operate the service, support users, and investigate abuse.

Providers may process data in locations different from yours and under their own applicable terms and privacy notices. This notice does not make an unverified promise about a particular processing country, provider retention period, or provider training policy. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising profiles.

Browser storage and security

In addition to the authentication cookies described above, browser storage may remember interface preferences, such as result-column ordering. Some administration features can use browser-tab session storage. You can manage cookies and site storage in browser settings, but clearing required data can sign you out or reset preferences. The landing page and application may still generate ordinary hosting and security records without sign-in.

We use access controls, token hashing, CSRF protection, secure-cookie attributes, and server-side ownership and usage checks to reduce risk. No website, network signal, or authentication system is perfectly secure, and these measures are not a guarantee against unauthorized access or abuse.

Retention and your choices

Cookie and token expiry ends their intended access period; it does not mean every associated database record or backup is automatically deleted at that time. The current release does not provide a published automatic deletion schedule or a self-service account-deletion feature.

Signing out invalidates your StockTuner account's browser sessions and connected MCP token records. It does not delete your account, usage records, or the device cookie, and it does not sign you out of Google. You can clear site cookies through your browser. You can also remove StockTuner's Google connection through your Google Account settings; do not rely on that action alone to terminate an already-issued StockTuner session—sign out here as well.

Tell us which account or Telegram identity your request concerns; do not send passwords or access tokens. We may need to verify that you are entitled to make the request. Requests require manual review; we do not promise immediate or automatic removal from all records or backups. Applicable rights and any necessary exceptions depend on the circumstances and law.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the service changes. The effective date above identifies this version. Contact us if you have questions about a change or how a feature handles your information.
